Navbharat Chhatralaya has long worked towards the educational advancement of the Kunbi and other marginalized communities. However, true social progress remains incomplete without the education of women. Recognizing this, and understanding that the progress of a family is tied to the education of its women, Shri Shinde Guruji, inspired by Shamraoji Page, established the Pujya Samant Guruji Kanya Chhatralaya on June 1, 1976.
Naming the hostel after Samant Guruji was both a tribute and a continuation of his legacy. This girls’ hostel stands as a living memorial built by Shri Shinde Guruji in honor of his mentor, Samant Guruji, and his senior colleague, Shamrao Page.
Located within the Navbharat Chhatralaya campus, and guided by the same values and vision, this “younger sister” of the Navbharat Chhatralaya follows the same routine, discipline, and ideals. Though the hostel has a sanctioned intake of 50 students, the overwhelming response from the community has often required accommodating 5–10 additional students.
