Kunabi Seva Sangh, Lanja was established in 1940 at Lanja. In its early years, the organization ran voluntary educational and social initiatives, including:
Kale Chhatralay at Lanja
Navbharat Chhatralay,
Samant Guruji Kanya Chhatralay, and
Krishi Kendra at Dapoli
Over time, the Dapoli-based activities grew faster and gained more momentum compared to those in Lanja. Due to the geographical distance between the two locations and the increasing scale of work, the management decided to form two independent bodies to better oversee the respective activities.
As a result, in 1986, Kunabi Seva Sangh, Dapoli was established as a separate entity. The original institution continued its work in Lanja, while the Dapoli-based operations were brought under the newly formed Kunabi Seva Sangh, Dapoli.
This organizational separation was officially recognized by the Government of Maharashtra in 2005
